The behavior of making it better, when adopted and integrated into every activity, is one that will distinguish an individual as well as an organization from others, that is undeniable. Better is better than bigger. Actually, better must be a reality for any organization before it can get bigger. Samuel Truett Cathy the founder of Chick-fil-A, put it best, when challenging his organization’s focus on growth, he made the statement “if we get better, our customers will demand that we get bigger.” However, a paradigm of making it better doesn’t just happen without being intentional in one’s pursuit of this essential success behavior. Whether it be organizational improvement or individual growth, there are certain keys which are integral to the success of one’s effort to make it better.
